Web App Security Dissertation Ideas.

Hi there! I'm currently interested on doing a final year dissertation on web app security and is wondering if I could ask for any pointers regarding a solid hypotheses.

Have anyone been in the same position as me? Or a professional in this area whom has ideas that could help?
